Inspector

I went out with the inspector guy yesterday. This will be a complicated and long story. It might be boring to you too cos it might sound like I am guy hogging this post to u.

Remember last last Thursday I met him at papa's place? Then he took my number. Then last Thursday, we met again at papa's place. This time we argued some stuffs. He doesn't speak good English and I don't speak good Russian. So we argued about how some men doesn't take life seriously. You know stupid tipsy arguments lol. It's weird that we were actually able to communicate despite of the language barriers. But you know, once you are drunk, there will be no language barriers. How true.

For some reason, when I am tipsy, I can speak Russian really fast and better. Even if I don't know some words, I will still be able to articulate it using really simple terms. I think it could be that when I am not tipsy, I am very self-conscious when I speak Russian which makes me speak really slow.

Okay so that night, he asked me to go home with him. I told him no, but if he want, he can ask me out for a walk during Sunday cos Emmi will be gone and I will be bored again. And so we set a Sunday night 8pm for a dinner.

So comes Sunday. He texted me to meet him at Kurskaya metro station. I don't know what is there at that area. He called me and said that if it is possible, I should meet him at 3pm or 4pm. So I said okay because just meeting for a dinner sounds kinda boring.

Then I took a shower and went to the station. I was lost at that metro station and we were trying to find each other for like 30 minutes. Then he told me that he will bring me to this new feminist female magazine meeting because he is from some community organization and hope that I will participate/voice out my opinions. I was like wtf. This is so sudden. I am so not prepared. But I agreed to it anyway cos I know I will definitely not voice out my opinions.

So we were in Andrei Sakharov Museum and I was sitting there listening to people speaking/debating in Russian. I felt kind of relieved because that will mean that I don't have to even participate. But Mr. Inspector or Grigory really wanted me to be part of the meeting. So he asked this young boy sitting beside me to be my translator and the translator was really passionate about translating.

Well, I must say that it was a really long meeting.. like 2 hours and we were late.. so the meeting was probably 4 hours or so. But it was interesting because I get to see how Russians conduct meetings and what are their views on their social problems. Like the husband doesn't take care of the children at all... why divorced couples should not be treated equally etc. I also meet a few company/campaign leaders from Ukraine, Russia and England who are really passionate about collaborating with this magazine.

After that long meeting, we went to the museum upstairs and took some photos (U can check my fb). We walked ALOT. After that museum, we went to the vodka factory. We were suppose to paste this "BOYCOTT VODKA" sticker around the factory. But there were only 2 stickers left. So he paste it on himself and we went for a walk at the art galleries around the factory. These art galleries are really good. Well I don't really like abstract art, but modern photography art I like it. There was this gallery full of fat old women and medium size old men naked, doing weird sexual poses, photographies of beautiful scenes around Russia, etc. There's also also fashion photography galleries around that area. Really cool. And any russian history gallery we went into, he will try his best to explain to me what happened during this time etc.

So we went from Andrei's museum to the vodka factory area to chisti prodi to kitai gorad to red square. It was a nice walk... I didn't know that all these places are in walkable distance. They seem so far from the metro map. Initially, I thought that language is really a big problem between us. But during the walk, somehow, we were able to communicate better. It was pretty cold yesterday and he gave me his jacket although I insisted that I don't feel cold. *Touched*

I think the funniest conversation we had while walking was that I had him believed that I eat dog meat because I am a chinese and it is normal to eat dog meat. I also told him that there's so many puppies and dogs in Moscow, I feel like trying dog meat here. He went quiet for quite sometime. But we continued to chat after that. And then after 1 - 2 hours later we went for dinner (he paid for it). While eating, he looked at me with this really serious face and asked with his deepest (and sexy) and solemn voice,"Gina, do you really eat dog meat?". I Burst out laughing.

It was really a long and tiring but interesting day. I was deflated when I reached home.
