2 Birds

2 free birds saw each other and thought they would make a very good companion. They decided to go on a journey to test if they were suited for each other.One of them thought that the other bird is the best bird it has ever seen and told everyone that it is the one.It never understood if the other bird is thinking the same way but seeing how the other bird makes long term promises, it thought that they will be together for long.

Initially they were very close, but soon they realised that they don't like to be too sticky with each other.So they went slightly apart, away from each other.

One day, another bird came, innocently and naively became their friend.This bird was able to give the other free bird attention which the free bird wasn't able to give. The free bird didn't notice that it was neglecting the other free bird, still thinking that their relationship will last. The other free bird proposed to fly away alone and apologized alot as it has already fallen in love with the new bird.

The free bird initially didn't understand why. After forcing the other free bird to say it out many times, the other free bird decided to say it out.The other free bird needed attention and the new bird has given the attention which the free bird could not give.The other free bird was confused and decided to fly away on its own and start a journey to reflect its life.

Leaving the free bird demoralized, have no self-esteem and feels that it is a loser.Whether the other free bird will be with the new bird is another story. But what is left of the free bird, is only an empty shell, hoping the other free bird will come back to look for it.
